Stand Firm

The head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is only Remaliah's son.  If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all"  Isaiah 7:9

In the scripture above, the Lord used the prophet Isaiah to warn the people and emphasize the seriousness of standing firm in their faith regardless of the person.

In our day to day lives we are often met with challenges and challenging people that test us.  We usually make one of two decisions regarding our faith when encountering these challenges:

  1. Stand firm
  2. Lay it down

How many of us lay it down to keep the peace and go along with the crowd?  What the Lord is sharing with us is that if we choose option #2, not only will we not be standing for him but we will also go along with whatever is out in the world.

Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. Luke 12:51

Are you strong enough to stand firm on your faith no matter the cost or will you keep the peace to please others?
