Where will school be held?

For the remainder of the current school year, students will be located at the Judith P. Hoyer Early Childhood Center (HECC) until - Thursday, June 5, 2008, the last day of school.

Bus Departure & Arrival

The bus will arrive at G. E. Peters at 7:30 am each day. The departure time from GE Peters is 7:45 am. Please be on time! The students need to arrive at JP Hoyer on time to start classes.

The bus will leave JP Hoyer at 3:30 pm. If you do not pick-up your child(ren) by 3:30 pm, he/she will be placed on the bus and taken to G. E. Peters. In addition, upon arrival at G. E. Peters, if you are not there, your child(ren) will be placed in aftercare. The bus is estimated to arrive at G. E. Peters between 4:00 - 4:15 pm.

Friday and First Wednesday

On Fridays, the bus will leave JP Hoyer at 2:45 pm and arrive at GE Peters at 3:20 pm.

First Wednesday, May 7, 2008, school will be dismissed at 12:30 pm.

Parent Procedures at JP Hoyer

When you arrive at the school between the hours of 8:00 am - 8:45 am, please use the Gym entrace. After 8:45 am, please use the Main Entrance to the school office.

Stop in the JP Hoyer school office for a Visitor's Pass. They will direct you to our (GE Peters) office. We will take care of your needs.

Remember: Visitations are limited, and only to your child's classroom.

Parking

Please park in the parking lot and not on the street in the front of the school's Main Entrance (Belleview Street).

School Lunch & Policies

Hot Lunch will be served as usual, except on Fridays - there will be NO PIZZA DAY. All students must bring their own lunch. On some Fridays, the 8th grade (graduating class) will provide meals (e.g., roti, hot dogs, etc.) NO MICROWAVING ALLOWED!!

Extra Curricular Program

After school extra curricular activities will continue at Metropolitan Church.
For piano, violin, guitar, and woodwind (saxophone) lessons, please contact and make proper arrangements with your instructors
GE Peter Mini-Mimers and Steel Pan practice will take place at the same venue and times.
Mini-Mimers - Monday and Wednesday
Steel Pan - Monday and Thursday

Will there be before- and after-care?

Yes. Before-care starts at 7 a.m. and will be held at Metropolitan Seventh-day Adventist Church. After-care starts at 4:00 p.m. or when the bus returns to the G. E. Peters parking lot.

Emergency Procedures for Judity P. Hoyer Early Childhood Center

URGENTLY NEEDED--a copy of your child(rens) Medical Records (immunization, allergies, asthma). Please update and send documentation of any medical or health conditions which may require emergency action while your child is at school. Doctor's signature required

Summer Camp

Please keep CAMP GEORGE as one of your options for summer camp for your children. We are currently engaged in negotiation for a suitable location. Plans are already made for a variety of fun experiences where the campers will be provided with opportunity to work, play and learn.
