 The curriculum
stresses educating students for a life of worship, growth and
service, places a high estimate on the worth of the individual
student, and dictates that Seventh-day Adventist Christian values
be developed in every subject at all grade levels. Our
curriculum for Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8 follows the
Journey to Excellence
Model.

Children can be successful learners in many different ways. By understanding the predispositions and learning styles that influence a child's response to learning opportunities, adults can encourage and increase engagement. At George E. Peters Adventist School we have integrated a Technology into student development.
- Computers are intrinsically
motivating for young children, and contribute to cognitive
and social development (National Association for the
Education of Young Children [NAEYC], 1996).
- Computers can enhance children's
self-concept and improve their attitudes about learning
(Sivin-Kachala & Bialo, 1994).
- Children demonstrate increased
levels of spoken communication and cooperation during
computer use (Clements, 1994; Haugland & Wright, 1997).
- Children share leadership roles on the computer, and initiate interactions more frequently (Clements, 1994; Haugland & Wright, 1997).

Curriculum taught in North American Division Seventh-day Adventist Schools is based on the Word of God, is rooted in the belief that God created us with minds that can grasp spiritual and intellectual truths, and places first leading the student to accept Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.

George E. Peters Adventist School is committed to improving student and parent awareness of the need for physical activity and proper nutrition. This is accomplished by providing a physical education program, focusing on exercise and nutrition. We believe empowering our youth to take responsibility for healthy habits will improve self-esteem and build self-assurance-foster a lifelong commitment to health and fitness.
